I run this little shop from home with my biggest cheerleaders being my husband, Kolton & our blended family of 4 children – Adalee, Eli, Easton, + Berklee. This is a shop that celebrates snuggling up your littles with a good book, and maybe even sparking some new traditions! My hope is to create an adorable space for you to make that happen! Every month we will make limited quantities of a unique, one of a kind, felt ball garland for you to decorate with. Along with our garlands, each month I will curate and share a list of beautifully illustrated children’s books to match. I have always had a love for children’s books and I’m happy to provide you with a new list each month to keep your little ones excited about reading! Little Books & Nooks is a tribute to Gale Dredge, my loving Aunt who was referred to by many as “Mama Gale.” She lived a life devoted to serving others and generously cared for everyone who walked through her door. Her home and heart were always open to everyone, and her laugh was infectious. She had an attention to detail and a love for creating special spaces. Prior to Gale’s battle with cancer she created a space much like our Little Books & Nooks for her grandson, Jack.  After her passing, this space continues to bring comfort and love to her grandchildren  and the tradition lives on in their home. She is the inspiration behind it all and I couldn’t be more excited to bring her dream to life and into your own homes! Nothing would make her happier than to see her tradition live on and to serve as a reminder that intentional time spent with our families is the most precious gift we have.

Each of our felt balls are eco-friendly and have been handcrafted by the beautiful women of Nepal and strung by us. Their fine quality wool has been processed by hand from local sheep, meticulously dyed, and felted into gorgeous whimsical items with love, from start to finish. Their production is centered around employing local household Nepalese women, providing them with training, fair wages, and a safe working environment.
